JAMMU, Nov 5: A 27-28 years old woman apparently ended her life by hanging from a tree at Chilla area of Surinsar here today.
Zulekha Bibi wife of Sher Ali of Chilla, Surinsar, was spotted hanging from a tree by some passerby who informed police, officials said.
Accordingly, her body was shifted to a hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, they said.
Meanwhile, police have initiated inquest proceedings under section 194 BNSS vide DD number 3 to ascertain the reasons as to why the woman ended her life.
