RAJOURI, Aug 2: A woman committed suicide while three others made similar bids on their lives in district Rajouri today.
A police spokesman said that one Kailash Devi, wife of Pritam Lal (Army personnal), resident of Doongi consumed some poisonous substance at her residence today. In serious condition, she was rushed to Military Hospital Rajouri where she died after some time. The deceased’s body was later removed to civil hospital for postmortem. The police registered a case and started investigation.
One Saira Akhtar (30), wife of Mohd Bashir resident of Dachhal consumed some poisonous pills at home. She was admitted to Rajouri Hospital. Her condition was said to be stable. Two more women namely Sureshta Devi, wife of Kaka Singh of Saranu and Kiran Devi, wife of Ravi Kumar of Kallar were hospitalized under similar circumstances. The police has taken cognizance of the matter. Their condition was said to be stable now.
