JAMMU, June 19: Police today arrested a notorious woman drug supplier along with 10 kilograms ganja from Narwal area.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team laid a naka at Narwal and asked a pedestrian lady to stop for checking.
On seeing police cops, the lady tried to escape, but the cops nabbed her after a brief chase.
During checking, police recovered 10 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the lady and arrested her.
The arrested lady has been identified as Cheemo, wife of Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Rajgarh, District Bikaner, at present Rajiv Nagar Narwal.
She is a notorious drug supplier and with her arrest, police have saved the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 143/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the lady at Bahu Fort police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SDPO East Arun Jamwal and assisted by Incharge Narwal police post SI Wasim Mehraj made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
