JAMMU, Aug 22: Police in Miran Sahib area today claimed to have arrested a woman drug peddler with 15.35 grams of heroin-like-substance, over Rs 1 lakh cash and gold items.
During a well coordinated search operation at the residence of Vani Bibi of Langotian, Tehsil RS Pura, on the intervening night of August 21-22, a team of Police Station Miran Sahib recovered the drug consignment, Rs 1,00,720 in cash, and gold items suspected to be the proceeds of drug peddling, a police official said.
She was accordingly booked under the relevant sections of the law registered at Police Station Miran Sahib and further investigation taken up, he said.
Pertinently, the arrest and seizure was made by SHO Miran Sahib Azad Manhas under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura and SP Headquarters in the presence of EMIC Maralian.
