Woman drug peddler held with heroin-like-substance

SAMBA, June 29: A woman drug peddler was arrested with 6.61 grams of heroin-like-substance in Bari Brahamana area of the Samba district today.
Mani Bibi of Balole, tehsil Bari Brahamana, district Samba, was arrested with the consignment by a team of Police Station Bari Brahamana led by SHO concerned under the overall supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas, a police official said.
After her arrested, the accused was booked in case FIR number 89/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bari Brahamana and further investigation taken up, he said.
According to the police official, the arrested woman is a notorious drug peddler as she was also wanted in case FIR number 69/2025 under Sections 8/21/22/25 of the NDPS Act registered at Police station Bari Brahamana as a backward linkage accused.
