JAMMU, June 20: A woman died today due to alleged negligence of doctor in a private hospital in lower Gadigarh area, following which a case was registered against the hospital.
According to the reports, a woman identified as Sumitra Devi (60) wife of late Sita Ram, resident of Rangpur Basti (RS Pura) was admitted in a private hospital in lower Gadigarh area on June 18 for treatment of her one of the fractured knees.
She was operated on June 19 for her fractured knee and today at about 1 am she died in the hospital following which family members of the deceased woman submitted a written complaint regarding negligence of doctors at concerned police station.
On the complaint of the family members of the deceased woman, the concerned police had registered a case FIR NO 131/2017 under Section 304-A against the private hospital and shifted the body to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where after conducting postmortem by a board of doctors, the body was handed over to its legal heirs for last rites.
