JAMMU, Jan 4: A 75-year-old woman from Arnia area, who was allegedly assaulted by her neighbours over some pending dispute between the families in December last year, succumbed to her injuries at Amandeep Medicity Amritsar on January 3rd, officials said.
Krishna Devi wife of Gopal Dass of Sai Moil, Camp Sai Kalan, Jammu, was admitted to Military Hospital Satwari on December 18, 2025, after she was assaulted by her neihbours over some pending dispute between the families, a police official said.
She was later taken to Amandeep Medicity, Amritsar, where she breathed her last on January 3, he said, adding that the body of the woman has been shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu today for conducting the post-mortem examination and other legal formalities.
A case under the relevant sections of the law already stood registered against the accused at Police Station Arnia, the police official said.
