KISHTWAR, May 30: A woman here today lost her life after she was crushed under a CRPF vehicle.
Police sources informed that Hanifa Begum, 55, wife of Mohd Akbar Malik, resident of Malikpora Passerkot, was crushed by a CRPF vehicle bearing registration number HR49J0645 at Pastri leaving her dead.
After the accident locals staged a protest demonstration and demanded strict action against the erring driver of the CRPF vehicle.
After sometime cops reached the spot and shifted the body to the nearby hospital where post-mortem of the dead body was done after which the body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
Police has arrested the driver of the vehicle and the vehicle was also seized on the spot.
In this regard Police has lodged a case in FIR No. 27/2025 Under Sections 281/106 BNS at Police Station Chatroo and started investigation.
