KATHUA, Jan 20: Police arrested two persons including a woman along with large quantity of illicit liquor.
As per official spokesman, a team from Police Station Kathua led by SHO Inspector OP Chib under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kathua Shammi Kumar and SSP Kathua RC Kotwal during patrolling duty at Sakta Chack arrested a man along with around 20 litres of illicit liquor, which he was selling among the people.
The arrested person was identified as Tarseem Kumar, son of Suraj Kumar of Amritsar Punjab, at present Sakta Chack District Kathua.
Meanwhile, the similar team also arrested a woman with around 25 litres of illicit liquor at village Kangriyal.
The arrested lady was identified as Suman Devi, wife of Sham Lal of Kangriyal Tharhara District Kathua.
Cases under FIR Numbers 29/2022 and 30/2022 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act were registered at Police Station Kathua and investigation initiated.
