Woman among two arrested with stolen car

JAMMU, Feb 1: Peer Mitha police worked out a theft case with the arrest of two persons including a woman and recovery of stolen car.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Peer Mitha Police Station laid a naka at Vivekananda Chowk.
During checking, police arrested two persons including a woman along with i20 car bearing registration number HR01AE-3347, which they had stolen from outside DC office Jammu on January 15.
The arrested persons have been identified as Mehar Singh, a resident of Jhajjar Haryana and Mamta, a resident of Rohtak, Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 2/18 stands registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Peer Mitha Inspector Javed Malik made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO City Varun Jandial, SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
