Nagi told reporters here that there is importance of meeting minority communities and addressing their needs in Jammu and Kashmir. “I will make every effort to address their problems. Our primary goal is to ensure relief and comfort for minorities,” she said.
She revealed that starting January 21, she and her team met delegations, organizations, and social activists from Baramulla, Kupwara, Srinagar, Kulgam, Pulwama, and Anantnag to understand their issues. “We toured both the Jammu and Kashmir regions to hear their concerns and explore solutions collaboratively,” she said.
Nagi stressed that India epitomizes ‘unity in diversity,’ with Kashmir serving as its crown jewel, embodying cultural and communal harmony.
Since 2014, Nagi said, the RNAF has been working in Jammu and Kashmir, focusing on quality education for children through computer labs, creativity, and art. “Upgrading school infrastructure and establishing skill development centers in remote areas have been among our key initiatives to empower women and girls,” she added.
She further noted that minority communities face essential needs that go beyond basic necessities . “My meetings with Sikhs, Christians, Brahmins, Kashmiri Pandits, Ahmadiyas, and other minority groups fostered open dialogue. A shared burden ceases to be a burden when addressed collectively,” she said.
