JAMMU, Oct 16: MLA Kathua Dr Bharat Bhushan today assured West Pakistan (WP) Refugees to address their issues on priority.
The newly elected MLA was addressing a gathering of the West Pakistan Refugees residing in Kathua and Nagri tehsils of district Kathua, who led by their leader Labha Ram Gandhi honoured Dr Bharat Bhushan on the occasion.
In his address, Dr Bharat Bhushan said that he along with other MLAs will raise the issues of WP Refugees and get them redressed on priority. He also acknowledged the good work being done by Labha Ram Gandhi for WP Refugees.
Labha Ram Gandhi, while speaking on the occasion, said that WP Refugees have been granted monetary & land holding benefits by the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the whole community of West Pakistanis residing from Planwala-Akhnoor to Keerian Gandyal in Kathua has supported policies and programmes of the Central Government.
A large number of senior citizens, females and youth of the community were present on the occasion.
