Labh Singh heads RS Pura Bus Union

JAMMU, Nov 22: Chairman of All J&K Transport Welfare Association, Karan Singh Wazir today declared that he will initiate election process of all the bus and other pubic transport unions which are due for the last several years.
Addressing a press conference here today, Wazir sought assistance of the UT and district administration for holding these elections democratically. He said that elections of several unions are due and some transporters have expressed desire to conduct these elections. He said that elections of the unions will be held shortly in phased manner.
During conference at the centre body office warehouse today Wazir congratulate the newly appointed president Labh Singh of Bus Owners Jammu- R.S.Pura Area Cooperative Ltd. who was unanimously elected by the members of the Association of the R.S.Pura route. He also congratulated the RS Pura transporters and gave assurance to other transporters that the elections are to be held of different association shortly.
Wazir further said that association’s elections will be conducted in a time bound manner and a framework is to be made to perform the due elections as admissible by the Bylaws of the registered association.
The Chairman also assured the transporters that the welfare of the transporters will remain the priority and in a democratic way the festivity of elections will be completed in a speedy and efficient way.
On the occasion AJKTWA members Mohinder Singh, Vijay Singh Chib, Balbir Singh, Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Gurdeep Singh Pappu, Kuldeep Singh, Ranjit Singh, KD.Singh and others were also present.
