UDHAMPUR, Mar 15: Wildlife Department rescued an injured Sambar deer from Kawa area of Udhampur.
Reports said that locals of the Kawa area in Udhampur spotted the Sambar deer in a residential locality and promptly alerted the Wildlife Department.
Upon reaching the scene, the Department’s rescue team discovered that the deer was injured and appeared highly distressed. A rescue operation was subsequently launched, and with the assistance of local residents, the Sambar deer was successfully rescued and administered first aid.
Given the severity of its injuries, the animal was subsequently transferred to the Wildlife Veterinary Hospital in Manda, Jammu, where it will undergo further treatment.
