This is with reference to above article ‘ Why Washington must tell Pak to introspect’ written by Farooq Ganderbali in DE dated 3rd July 15. The author is very much correct in mentioning that it has been a habit with Pakistan, both the army and civil, to blame India for everything wrong that happens in their country. On this count both the army and civil leadership are on the same wavelength.
Pakistan has remained a failed state almost since their independence. It has failed on every front whether it is social, economical, political or military front. With the ever increasing influence of India, under the leadership of PM Modi, over the world in general and Asia in a particular including China and Japan, Pakistan feels isolated. That is why it is pushing terrorists and terrorism into India through J&K afresh, to divert the attention of the people of his country, from their domestic burning issues like terrorism, rampant corruption, unemployment, revolt in Baluchistan, etc. It has almost no control over the northern boundaries where the army has almost surrendered or is creating mayhem.
Author has rightly given a clear and loud presentation of the affairs of Pakistani army and their strained relations with the civil authority, despite the tall claims by army, that terrorism has been contained. The ground reality has been brought out nicely by the author. There can be no difference between a good terrorist and a bad terrorist as claimed by Pakistan Govt. The terrorists sent to operate in J&K are good and those operating in their own country are bad. India has been rightly saying that Pakistan is a epicentre of terrorism and the biggest proof was that Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden was hiding in Pakistan in the vicinity of army location. With the changing international scenario after Nawaz Sharief and Modi met in Russia recently where Pakistan’s PM accepted the voice sample evidence of Lakhvi given by India and with commitment to zero tolerance against terror, it is high time that US must act tough against Pakistan.
