JAMMU, Sept 14: White Knight Gunners of 16 Corps undertook a trekking expedition from Chasana to Kaunsar Nag Lake located in the majestic rangers of Pir Panjal. The trekking expedition was flagged off by Major General B K Guha, Chief of Staff 16 Corps, today.
The trekking team consists of 2 Officers, 4 Junior Commissioned Officers, and 14 Other Ranks. The team will cover a total distance of 115 Km in 12 days. The trekking route selected by the team will pass through various villages in the hinterland of the Jammu region. The aim of this trekking expedition undertaken by the White Knight Gunners is to interact with local people in the remote areas, to showcase various adventure activities undertaken by the Indian Army and to motivate youth of these areas to join the same. A major highlight of the expedition is the medical camp being organized at Ichni on September 19, 2015 for the benefit of the local villagers at an altitude of more than 9000 feet.
