Welfare schemes will be implemented with utmost transparency: Bali

JAMMU, June 23: Minister for Social Welfare, Forest, Ecological & Environment, Bali Bhagat today said that the Government will implement all the welfare schemes in a most transparent manner to ensure their benefits to the needy. He said the administration will be made more responsive and accountable to the people to achieve the visible results on ground.
The Minister said this while addressing  a public meeting at Muthi here today .
He said that the Government is aware about the problem of the people and serious efforts would be made to address these on fast-track basis.
Minister of State for Education, Information Priya Sethi, MLC Romesh Arora, senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi  and prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
In order to provide hassle- free pension under social schemes, Bali Bhagat said the procedure has been simplified and in order to facilitate the beneficiaries the department will reach out to the people and camps will be organised to complete the formalities. ‘Now the beneficiaries need not to approach the offices of Social Welfare and other departments for completing the formalities, rather the department will do that’, said the Minister.
He asked the people to bring their problem to  his notice so that these are redressed appropriately in a shortest possible time. He asked the people to maintain close liaison with the administration to avail the benefits of various programmes.
Promising to develop Muthi area on modern lines, the Minister said that this segment remained neglected by the previous regimes and all out efforts would be made to strengthen the essential infrastructure, like road network, electricity, drinking water, education, health services and sanitation facilities for the convenience of the people.
