JAMMU, Sept 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K general secretary and former Deputy Mayor, Jammu, Baldev Singh Billawaria, today inaugurated a one-day Free Medical Health Check-up Camp at Jeevan Nagar in the R.S. Pura-Jammu South Assembly constituency.
The camp was organized by the convenor of the J&K BJP Tourism Cell, Bharat Bhushan with the aim of extending timely medical assistance and health facilities to families affected by the recent floods in the area. Billawaria was accompanied by BJP J&K convener of all cells, Ved Raj Sharma, Narinder Gupta (Kokki) and senior local party activists. The camp was attended by a large number of people, where a team of qualified doctors and paramedical staff provided free consultations, diagnostic check-ups, and distributed essential medicines.
Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria said that the BJP has always prioritized the welfare of common citizens and stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the people in every hour of need. He added that the devastating floods had left several families struggling to cope with health and livelihood challenges, and such camps are an important step in providing them immediate relief. “The BJP is committed to public service and ensuring that no family feels abandoned in times of crisis. Through medical relief camps like these, we aim to bring basic healthcare directly to the doorsteps of the people,” Billawaria remarked. He further said that the BJP’s aim is to reduce immediate health risks and link vulnerable residents with follow-up services so recovery can begin without delay. “This health camp is a small contribution to help flood-affected families regain normalcy. BJP is determined to ensure that such medical and relief efforts continue in other affected areas as well,” he said.
BJP convener of All Cells, Ved Raj Sharma, said that the initiative was part of BJP’s broader commitment to social service and community welfare. He emphasized that the party’s outreach programmes are not limited to politics but humanitarian causes as well.
