UDHAMPUR, July 2: We Care Welfare Society (WCWS), a self-funded voluntary organization, successfully organized a free multi-specialty medical camp at Government Higher Secondary School in Kud, district Udhampur, benefiting over 440 patients with essential healthcare services.
The Camp aimed to provide comprehensive check-ups and expert consultations in eye care, orthopedics, general health and cardiology, particularly catering to underserved sections of the population.
A team of renowned doctors, including Dr R D Sood, Dr Rohan Sood, Dr Sheikh Asif Rasool (Ophthalmologists), Dr Neeraj Gupta, Dr Arvind Sharma and Dr Kanav Padha, rendered voluntary services at the camp, ensuring quality medical attention to all attendees. A total of 442 patients were examined during the camp, which also included facilities for free ECG, blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar testing and eye testing using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Out of the total patients, 242 received eye-related consultations, with 48 identified and screened for cataract surgery. The orthopedic section treated 95 patients, while 84 underwent general medical check-ups. Additionally, 64 individuals were examined for heart-related issues.
WCWS also distributed free medicines and spectacles to the patients on the spot.
WCWS chairman, M SAdiq Nargal and president, Dr. RK Gupta were also present in the camp.
