Wattal calls on Azad in Delhi, discusses burning issues of J&K

JAMMU, June 11: Kiran Wattal, president of Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj (VKS) and Gymnastic Association of J&K, vice president of Gymnastic Association of India and convener of Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra Welfare Society, Kiran Wattal today paid a courtesy visit to former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad, at his residence in New Delhi.
Wattal enquired about Azad’s health after his recent health deterioration during a foreign delegation. He discussed the successful completion of the Kheer Bhawani Mela and preparations for the forthcoming Amarnath Yatra. Wattal also discussed the promotion of gymnastics in J&K with Azad.
They exchanged views on various social issues affecting the Union Territory. Wattal appreciated Azad’s illustrious political career, highlighting his contributions to J&K’s development. Notably, Azad introduced the triple shift system in the execution of mega development projects in J&K, ensuring effective supervision and monitoring at the Divisional level. Wattal described Azad a huge asset for J&K.
Drawing inspiration from Azad’s leadership and experience, Wattal vowed to bring about positive change in J&K. He said Azad’s vision and experience are considered valuable assets for the region. “After meeting with Azad, I am now more determined than ever to work towards the betterment of J&K,” he added.
