JAMMU, Apr 11: Chief Engineer, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, Jammu has informed the general public that water in the main Ranbir Canal, New Partap Canal and Kathua Canal will be released on April 12.
All the Superintending/ Executive Engineers have been directed to plan their activities to ensure completion of the ongoing works well before the recharging of canals. They have been directed to ensure that the water reaches up to tail end areas and there is no loss of life and property on scheduled date of opening of canal.
