JAMMU, Apr 28: Following the drinking water crises ,the residents of Panchayat Flote and W No 17 Kathua held protest demonstration against the concerned authorities. The residents of W No 17 Kathua protested in their Ward while taking the empty buckets in their hands. The majority women raised anti slogans against the drinking water crises as the irregular water supply irks the residents who are facing numerous problems in these hot days.
A deputation of Panchayat Flote accompanied by number of women met with PHE officials and apprised them about the water problem. They told that due to outdated and old water pipes, the dirty water is supplied to them which is not consumable. They have approached to concerned authorities but did not get positive response . The deputation told that the Panchayats has huge funds for development. It is better to spend them for providing basic facilities of water supply. The deputation demanded that authorities should ensure clean water supply.
