SAMBA, Mar 11: A wanted drug smuggler was arrested in Bari Brahmana area of Samba district today.
A police official said, during the course of investigation of two cases registered under FIR numbers 139/2023 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act and 66/2024 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana, police established the backward linkages and found the involvement of smuggler Sham Din of Sarore Adda, tehsil Bari Brahmana.
Accordingly, a team of Bari Brahmana Police Station arrested the smuggler after hectic efforts under the supervision of SSP Samba, Virinder Manhas, who will be presented in the court of law for deciding the future course of action, he said.
