JAMMU, Jan 22: Minister for R&B, Abdul Majid Wani, today inspected the restoration work on Assembly Complex and asked the officers of JKPCC to speed up the work to get it completed before the commencement of next Assembly Session.
The Minister directed the executing agency to ensure utilization of quality material and apply modern technology in the construction work.
Commissioner Secretary R&B, Chief Engineer, R&B, Jammu, Chief Engineer, PMGSY and other senior officers of JKPCC accompanied the Minister.
Talking to media persons, the Minister said that all care would be taken to maintain the heritage status of the building. He said the experts and engineers supervising the work have been instructed to ensure that heritage status of complex is maintained at all levels.
The Minister also inspected the lab where the model of new Assembly Complex has been kept and interacted with the engineers supervising the job. He asked them to work with full dedication and keep in account the importance of the complex.
