JAMMU, Nov 30: Varishat Nagrik Kavya Manch (VNKM) here today organized a multilingual Kavi Darbar at the residence of R.S Baroca in Trikuta Nagar to commemorate Guru Nanak Jayanti.
Well known Punjabi and Hindi poets of J&K attended the programme.
Ajit Singh Mastana, well known writer and poet from Kashmir, presided over the meeting whereas Bhupinder Singh Raina, renowned Punjabi novelist was the chief guest. Noted writer Dr. B.B Sharma was guest of honour and the host was R.S Baroca.
The poets Harjit Singh Uppal, JPS Azad, Amarjeet Kour Neer, Suraj Ratan Bakshi, Bachan Bharti, Jang S. Verman, Bhupinder Singh Raina, Sharan Kour, Devinder Kour, Rashmi Gupta, Uma Bali, Girija Sharma, Sunita Kumari, Simranjit Kour and Ajit Singh Mastana presented their poems on different topics and themes reflecting on the life, principles and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
Master Jasmeh Singh, 6, presented Shabad Kirtan during the meeting. B.S Manocha and Jagjeet Singh Sudan also attended the meeting.
Ajit Singh Mastana, Bhupinder Singh Raina and Dr. B.B Sharma also expressed their views on this occasion. A Langar was also organized after the literary programme.
Earlier Amarjeet Kour Neer, president VNKM, J&K welcomed the guests. Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Tejinder Singh Premee and vote of thanks was extended by Amarjeet Kour Neer.
