VKS appeals Govt to pay compensation to 3 Jagti families

JAMMU, Mar 31: Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj (VKS) led by Kiran Wattal today demanded compensation for three Jagti families whose children were drowned in river Tawi two days back.
A team of the VKS led by Kiran Wattal and accompanied by its general secretary, M K Yogi who visited the bereaved families said that they will take up the issue with concerned authorities. They said these poor families are already in distress after losing their homes and hearths and now this tragedy which befall on them has snatched all their hopes and turned their lives as hell.
They appealed the Government to come to the rescue of these poor families by proving the ex-gratia to them. Kamal Ganjoo, Vinod Pandit and Muktesh Yogi also accompanied the VKS team.
They appealed to the authorities and the public to take necessary precautions and ensure safety around rivers and water bodies to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future.
