Virtual CME on ‘Practice Changing Capsule for Breast Cancer’ held

JAMMU, May 2: ONCOFACTS on Sunday organized an international virtual CME (Continuing Medical Education) on ‘Practice Changing Capsule for Breast Cancer Radiation Oncology Update’ under the aegis of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India, North Zone Chapter and American Oncology Institute ASCOMS Hospital, Jammu.
The CME was anchored and moderated by Program Director, Dr. Vikas Roshan, Senior Consultant Radiation Oncologist American Oncology Institute Jammu and coordinated by Program Coordinator, Dr. Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, associated faculty Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital.
During the session eminent medical faculty from USA, UK and many states of India presented their speeches and presentations on the various topics related to Radiation Oncology aspects of ‘Practice Changing Capsule for Breast Cancer’.
The inaugural address was presented by Dr. Neeraj Jain, Vice President of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India.
Dr Sandhya Sood, Senior Consultant and Clinical Lead American Oncology Institute Ludhiana; Dr. Aruna Turaka, Consultant Radiation Oncologist at Pacific Cancer Institute Maui Hawaii USA; Dr. Tarun Durga, Consultant Clinical Radiation Oncologist with NHS UK; Dr. Vineeta Goel, Associate Director and Head of Radiation Oncology Department Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh New Delhi; Dr. Swarupa Mitra, Senior Consultant and chief of GI and GU Radiation Oncology at RGCI New Delhi; Dr. Meenu Gupta, Consultant Radiation Oncologist; Dr. Anusheel Munshi, Senior Consultant and HOD Radiation Oncology Manipal Group of Hospitals, Dwarka and Dr. Abhishek Shanker, Consultant Radiation Oncologist also spoke on the occasion.
Chairpersons on the occasion were senior faculty of institutions like Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dr. Naseer Ahmad Khan, Dr Rahul Sharma, Dr. Shabab Angurana, Dr. Mohd Maqbool Lone, Dr. Ashraf Teli, Dr. Deepak Abrol, Dr. Syed Arshad and Dr S.S Katoch.
The programme concluded with Vote of Thanks by the Program Director.
