JAMMU, July 11: The sitting president of Association of Industries, Gangyal, Virendra Jain has taken over as Chairman of the Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ).
A meeting of Federation of Industries, Jammu was held at Association of Industries office, Gangyal to elect the Chairman and other office bearers of Federation of Industries, Jammu for the period 2025-26 as per the constitution of the FOIJ.
Virendra Jain assumed the charge of the Chairman, Federation of Industries, Jammu. Jain praised the outgoing Chairman Lalit Mahajan along with his team after successful completion of their term. The other office bearers of Federation of Industries, Jammu elected are- Jatinder Aul; president, Industries Association, Digiana (Co-Chairman); SC Dutta, president, Birpur Industries Association (Co-Chairman); Lalit Mahajan, president, Bari Brahamna Industries Association(Co-Chairman); Viraaj Malhotra as secretary general and Sanjay Langar as convener.
The members present on the occasion applauded the efforts of the outgoing Chairman and his team in getting issues of the industry highlighted before the concerned authorities. Virendra Jain assured the members that his team will leave no stone unturned to get the pending issues resolved by the Govt.
In a statement after taking charge Jain pleaded that the Govt should come out in the rescue of the existing industrial sector of J&K as otherwise it may collapse. He requested Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, Dy. Chief Minister to issue instructions to the concerned authorities to release announced/promised incentives in favour of the industry without further delay.
Jain also requested the Lt Governor and the Chief Minister that the new package of incentives for the existing Micro/Small Industrial Sector in line with the NCSS incentives may be formulated for providing a level playing field for the existing Micro/Small Industrial Sector of J&K.
Various Industrial Associations’ representatives from Districts Kathua, Samba and Jammu participated in the meeting. Prominent who attended the meeting included Tarun Singla, SB Abrol, Sanjay Chopra, Ankur Jain, Sandeep Ohri, Vinod Sharma, Rajesh Jain, Ajay Mahajan, Inderesh Badyal, Munish Sharma, Jitender Singh, Sunil Jain, and Subash Goswami.
