REASI, Mar 19: Locals of Bhabbar Brahmana today protested against shifting of Patwarkhana from village Bhabbar to Panasa.
Shouting slogans and showing resentment against the district administration, the protesting villagers said that the office of Patwari was in Bhabbar since the last many decades and it was unacceptable for them to get it shifted to other place.
Sarpanch of the village Bodh Raj Sharma said that they won’t accept and tolerate this thing. “We need it at our place or let it be shifted to Reasi as it is convenient for us to reach Reasi instead of Panasa for our land related works,” he said and appealed to the district administration to rethink on the decision and do the needful for the people of the village.
Former Sarpanch Bodh Raj Bhagat said that they had already lodged a complaint in this regard with the district administration of Reasi. If they don’t listen to us, we will take to roads and it will be the responsibility of administration for any consequences. Our demand should be addressed as soon as possible,” he added.
