UDHAMPUR, Feb 12: Locals held a strong protest demonstration as village Shatrari in Kulwanta, Basantgarh is without electricity for the last 15 days.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the Power Development Department, which has failed to replace the faulty transformer for the last 15 days. They said that because of no electricity, their normal life was completely paralyzed while students were not able to study when their exams are approaching nearer.
The villagers appealed Governor Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik to look into the matter and issue necessary directions to the PDD authorities for ensuring immediate replacement of the faulty transformer.
