DODA, June 4: Locals of Panchayat Bhotali in Block Chilly today staged a protest against the Jal Shakti/PHE Department.
The protesting villagers raised slogans against the Jal Shakti department Gandoh, while stating that the department has failed to repair the fault in the pipe line due to which there is no supply of drinking water for the last three months.
They alleged that despite repeated pleas by the villagers neither the fault was repaired nor the alternative arrangement was made for supply of drinking water. “In absence of drinking water supply, we are depending on the natural sources of water,” they said and demanded that water supply be restored at the earliest.
The protesting villagers urged the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to direct the concerned department for providing regular drinking water to the residents living in Bhotali area of Chilly Block.
