RAMBAN, Oct 1: MLA Banihal Vikar Rasool Wani inaugurated a generic drug store on the name and title ‘New Jeelani Medicate’ at Sub District Hospital Banihal.
Wani along with senior Congress leader Imtiyaz Ahmed Khanday stressed on the need to launch an awareness campaign to educate public about the benefits of buying generic drugs and to direct the doctors to give the option to buy a cheaper version of the medicine.
MLA Banihal said that establishment of generic medical store in the premises of SDH will cater the patients rush of the area. He added that being reputed medical store of the area, Jeelani Medicate has a vast experience of public relations and pro-patient approach in his thirty years long career.
Prominent citizens, members of the Chemist Association, executive members of the Beopar Mandal Banihal and others were also present on the occasion.
