JAMMU, Apr 11: The Vijeshwar Devasthan Trust team, under the leadership of its president, Sanjay Tickoo Dembi, called on the Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo to discuss the matter of land exchange concerning a children’s graveyard located near the Mata Vijaya Devi premises. While the matter appears challenging, the Trust remains committed to pursuing it with dedication and optimism, aiming for a positive resolution.
The delegation submitted a detailed memorandum to Chief Secretary in this regard and seeking his intervention in the matter
The delegation included senior vice president Mr. B.L. Bhat (Ex-MLC), treasurer, Virinder Mohan Bhat, and vice president, Ramesh Ji (Laribal). The issue was discussed with CS threadbare.
Later the delegation held a meeting with the Director of Archaeology & Museums, K.K. Sidha, to discuss developmental initiatives for the region.
During the meeting, the Trust requested the allocation of funds for the construction of Mata Jaya Devi Yatri Bhawan and Mata Vijaya Devi Yatri Bhawan at Halqa Jablipora, Bijbehara. Sidha assured the team that the proposal would be given due consideration in the next phase. The construction of these Yatri Bhawans is expected to provide much-needed shelter and facilities to devotees visiting these sacred sites, under the blessings of Mata Rani.
Later in a meeting of the Trust members, its president, Sanjay Tickoo informed the members that Vijeshwar Devasthan Trust continues to work tirelessly towards the preservation, development, and facilitation of religious and cultural infrastructure for the benefit of devotees and the community at large.
