JAMMU, Dec 2: The State Vigilance Commission today reviewed the progress of FIR cases, Preliminary Enquires, Verifications bearing public importance being investigated and enquired by the Vigilance Organization.
During the meeting, chaired by Chief vigilance Commissioner, Kuldeep Khoda, various issues were deliberated upon and the concerned Supervisory officers of the Vigilance Organization apprised the Commission about their progress reports in various cases being dealt by them.
The CVC directed officers of the Vigilance Organization that all long pending cases be finalized within two months time. Targets were fixed to ensure investigation of cases, enquiries and verifications in a time bound manner. Besides, all the Supervisory officers were directed to personally monitor all the cases under their supervision and fill all the lacunas, so that the cases can be defended successfully in the courts.
The CVC impressed upon the officers of the Vigilance Organization to put their best efforts to conclude the investigation in a legal way and in a time bound manner. He directed the officers of the Vigilance Organization to follow the cases pending in different courts at various stages and get the stays vacated, if any, and also file the appeals before the courts whenever required in this regard. It was further stressed upon the concerned officers that it needs to be ensured that guilty be punished at any cost and the innocents should not suffer for the fault of others.
The meeting was attended by Dr R K Jerath, Vigilance Commissioner, Ghous-ul-Nisa Jeelani, Vigilance Commissioner, Director Vigilance Organization, Secretary State Vigilance Commission and other senior officers of the State Vigilance Commission and Vigilance Organization.
