JAMMU, Feb 13: State Vigilance Organization (SVO) today registered case against the then Patwari, Khanpur Nagrota, (now Tehsildar) Shallo Ram and Shanti Saroop Gupta, the then Tehsildar Jammu (now retired).
The case has been registered on the directions of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu and in pursuant to verification conducted by Vigilance Organization Jammu into the allegations that Mutation No. 654 and 655 in respect of five kanals and seven marlas of land sold by Om Parkash to Nek Ram Magotra and Rakesh Magotra respectively have been wrongly attested on the basis of sale deeds, which have been executed on the basis of illegal fards.
During verification it came to the fore that sale deeds contrary to Section 28 (b) Agrarian Reforms Act were prepared by the then Patwari Khanpur Nagrota (now Tehsildar) and attested by the then Tehsildar, Jammu (now retired).
They have been booked under Section 5(1) (d) read with 5(2) of J&K PC Act 2006 and Section 120-B RPC.
