JAMMU, Nov 5: Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal.
JAMMU: To commemorate Vigilance Awareness Week, Bank of India, Jammu organized awareness drive in Arena Animation, Dogra Hall, Kachi Chawni, in which bank officers demonstrated in detail the methods to eradicate corruption. Speaking on the occasion, BJP District media Secretary Puneet Gupta laid emphasis on cyber security related to banking. Chief Manager Punit Guta, Rajesh Gupta, Manohar Kumar, Neha Rajput, Sikha Dogra and Raghav Gupta were also present. In the end, Kunal Sharma, Manager presented vote of thanks.
RAMBAN: Vigilance Awareness Week was celebrated at village Digdol Ramban by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). Financial literacy was also imparted to attendants. On the occasion, District Manager NABARD Aarshi Sharma stressed upon importance of integrity and eradicating corruption from society. Later integrity pledge was also taken by participants. She also detailed about all banking products like savings accounts, fixed deposits, Recurring Deposits, loans, etc. Mohan Singh, FLCC SBI, Rajeev Sharma LDM SBI, Sarpanch and locals were also present on the occasion.
RAJOURI: J&K Grameen Bank in collaboration with NABARD organized Vigilance-cum-Financial Literacy Awareness Programme on the theme “Public Participation in Promoting Integrity and Eradicating Corruption”. While speaking on the occasion, RK Narang, Area Manager Rajouri and Poonch informed the participants regarding various safeguards to be kept in mind in order to be aware in cases of cheating corruption while availing different banking facilities with special reference to use of ATM cards, mobile banking, etc. All the participants present in the programme took integrity pledge not to indulge in corrupt practices. PP Singh, Senior Manager, Area Office Rajouri and Poonch, representatives of various line departments, panchs and sarpanchs of the area also attended the programme. The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Branch Head, Branch Office, Rajouri, Bikram Singh Thayal.
KISHTWAR: Vigilance Awareness Week organized at Dulhasti Power Station and Bursar HE Project of NHPC Limited concluded today, wherein General Manager PK Langer presided over the function. Besides, Senior Officers, members of Ladies Club, KV students and employees were present on the occasion. The week long programme was coordinated by Manoj Kumar Shah, Project Vigilance Officer, Dulhasti Power Station. Kishtwar, Shanti Prakash Sharma and Abdul Aziz both retired ZEO were special invitees. Kendriya Vidyalaya children presented a colourful cultural programme. Different programmes like essay competition, poem recitation, debates on eradication of corruption were held during the week. General Manager stressed for creating awareness among the masses to spread the message for fighting corruption which is main hurdle in the development of country. Later, prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions. Manoj Kumar Sah, Project Vigilance Officer presented vote of thanks.
