AWANTIPORA, Dec 19: Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor IUST, today conducted an extensive tour of the campus and inspected the functioning of various offices.
He was accompanied by Prof Abdul Wahid Makhdoomi, Registrar, IUST, Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer, Shahijahan Mohammad, University Engineer and Dr S Iqbal Qureshi, Estates Officer.
The VC was briefed on the progress of several ongoing projects, including the campus entrance, compound wall, Science Block and installation of furniture.
Prof Romshoo urged the University Engineering Wing to adhere to prescribed timelines while emphasising sustainable and quality development.
He also reviewed the proposed main entrance of the University and stressed that the adoption of sustainable and traditional elements in both design and construction should be prioritised.
Later, the VC interacted with employees from different wings of the University.
