JAMMU, Nov 11: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has shown its serious concern over granting of mass admission to members of Muslim community in the Medical College run by Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) Katra.
In a press conference addressed by Rajesh Gupta president VHP, J&K and Ladakh here , today he said in view of yesterday’s blast at Delhi and busting of terror module by security forces and police of Delhi NCR, Srinagar, Lucknow and Gujrat involving several Muslim doctors mostly from Kashmir including Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganai and Dr. Adeel Majeed Rather and others, has exposed a disturbing nexus of terror operating under the guise of medical professionals.
He strongly condemned the terror activities that have shaken the nation’s capital and beyond. “We pray deeply for the souls of those who lost their lives in yesterday night’s Fidayeen attack in Delhi, and we stand in solidarity with the families of the martyrs as well as the injured’’.
The VHP while reiterating its serious concern regarding the mass admissions of Muslim students in the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board-run Medical College at Katra said it is imperative that institution’s policies should reflect the faith, traditions, and culture that the Shrine Board represents. Upholding these principles ensures the preservation of the Board’s character and its obligation to the Hindu community, he added.
He said in this regard, VHP national general secretary, Bajrang Bagra has addressed a letter dated November 5, 2025, to LG Manoj Sinha, Chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Board members. This position finds support in the recent Himachal Pradesh (HP) High Court ruling that unequivocally upheld the principle that Hindu offerings must be utilized exclusively for Hindu causes and purposes, reinforcing the need to maintain the religious and cultural sanctity of institutions supported by Hindu funds.
