VHP organizes ‘Pratham Pujan’ ahead of Amarnath Yatra

JAMMU, June 11: To invoke the blessings of Lord Shiva for the upcoming Shrine Amarnathji yatra, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) organized a Pratham Pujan ceremony on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshtha Purnima at Tawi Arti Sthal, Tawi River Front.
The ceremony began with Pratham Pujan, followed by Rudrabhishek of Lord Shiva, and then Havan Yagya and Purnahuti. The occasion was graced by the presence of CEO Jammu Smart City Ltd and Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, Devansh Yadav as the chief guest.
The main yajamans and patrons of the ceremony were Rajesh Gupta, President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad J&K and Ladakh, along with his wife Ritika Gupta, Chairperson of Raghunath Ji Corridor Vikas Council.
Other prominent dignitaries who participated in the ceremony included Prant Upadhyaksh Suneel Mahajan and BJP ex-District President Rekha Mahajan, VHP Bahu Jila Adhyaksha Rajni Mahajan and her husband Ranjan Mahajan, VHP State Vice President Shakti Dutt Sharma, Brahmkumari Rajyogini Sudarshan Didi, VHP former President Leela Karan Sharma, VHP Prant Sewa Parmukh Rajan Gupta, Bajrang Dal Seh Sanyojak Veenu Kumar, Press Secretary VHP Rajesh Bhasin, VHP Trustee Rajesh Chhibber, Head of LEAD Real Estate wing Vishal Abrol, Team of Shri Raghunath Ji Corridor Vikas Council and prominent citizens.
Devansh Yadav expressed pride that the people of Jammu have organized the Pratham Pujan on Jyeshtha Purnima in view of the upcoming Amarnathji and allied pilgrimages. He hoped that this practice would continue in the coming years in the interest of the pilgrimage.
Rajesh Gupta highlighted the importance of Pratham Pujan, especially during this Lord Shiva Mahaparv in J&K from Jyeshtha Purnima to Shravan Purnima. He mentioned that this Magaparva includes Shiva pilgrimages to Amarnathji, Buda Amarnathji, Shiv Khori, Sudh Mahadev, Chhota Amarnathji, etc. He emphasized the significance to organize it in Jammu, especially in view of the past threats and killings of Hindu tourists in places like Pahalgam.
Vishal Sharma, President of Jammu Bus Stand, Dr Surjit Singh from Rehari, and Team of Shri Raghunath Ji Corridor Vikas Council, including Baldev Khullar, Rajesh Diwan, Sachin Kumar and Vijay Kumar Mahajan, were among the prominent participants in the event.
