AKHNOOR, Jan 7: The Veterans’ Day celebrations in Akhnoor unfolded with profound patriotism, uniting veterans and serving personnel to pay homage to the indomitable spirit of those who served the nation.
Dhruva Motorcycle/Bike Rally along with `Eternal Mashal’ symbolising glory of fallen heroes arrived from Nagrota on Tuesday. A solemn wreath laying ceremony and tribute to Eternal Flame was organised at the War Memorial, Akhnoor.
The senior civil and military dignitaries engaged in lively interactions with veterans, fostering camaraderie and shared stories of valour.
A dedicated Medical camp offered comprehensive health screenings, underscoring the commitment to veteran well-being, while the distribution of blood pressure monitoring machines provided practical tools for ongoing health management.
Culminating on a high note, the chief guest flagged off the motorcycle rally, carrying forward the message of honour, resilience, and unity across regions. These celebrations stand as a testament to Akhnoor’s proud military heritage and the ongoing resolve of ex-servicemen and their families towards nation building, he added.
