LEH, Aug 5: Member Parliament from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal today said that Ladakh veteran leaders and Apex body kept changing safeguard demands for Ladakh from time to time.
Speaking on the occasion of UT 2nd Founding Anniversary organized by BJP at Leh Main Market today, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal said that within a period of two years the demands kept on changing: sometime asking Six Schedule, sometime UT with legislature and now Statehood which is very confusing.
The celebration was attended by LAHDC Leh Chairman, Tashi Gyalson, Executive Councillors, Councilors, BDC Chairman, Sarpanches, Panches and other BJP workers.
The MP said UT was the dream of every Ladakhi led by late Bakula Rinpoche since 1948 and it is everyone’s duty and responsibility to celebrate the UT Anniversary with full enthusiasm but unfortunately it’s like BJP’s event.
“We are no RSS agent here but born and brought up in Ladakh having serious concern for motherland Ladakh. We have serious concern over raising unemployment issue for Ladakh but we rejected domicile law without knowing it properly,” MP maintained.
Without naming anyone, the BJP MP said that we respect for veteran leaders for their contribution towards Ladakh but this doesn’t mean we will allow them become hindrance in the Ladakh development.
Speaking on the occasion Hill Council Chairman Advocate Tashi Gyalson said that Hill Council has vision to uplift every section of society but some people with vested interest to rule again are trying to create problems. He said the safeguard demands kept on changing from time to time creating confusion among Ladakhis. The people should have clear vision and concept.
