KAHUA, Jan 23: Police seized a vehicle loaded with six bovine animals and arrested two persons in this connection in Lakhanpur area early today.
A police spokesman said a naka party foiled a bid of smuggling bovine animals after it intercepted a truck bearing registration No. JK02T/6571 near Patli nallah on National Highway in Lakhanpur area today. The police seized the vehicle along with six animals.
Two persons arrested in this connection were identified as Mohd Raiq (Driver), son of Abdul Karim, resident of Gool and Abdul Hamid, son of Bashir Ahmed, resident of Rangoora, Bye Pass, Jammu. A case FIR No. 13/2013 was registered against the accused persons.
