JAMMU, July 24: A vehicle loaded with illegal timber has been seized.
As per official spokesman, on specific information a Forest Department team headed by Vijau Khosla, Range Officer Batote under the supervision of Dr Jitendra Kumar Singh, Conservator of Forests Chenab Circle Doda and Kuldeep Singh Divisional Forest Officer Batote seized a Mahindra vehicle bearing registration number JK19A-1584 loaded with illegal deodar/kail timber.
Forest Department has registered a Forest Offence Report (FOR) and confiscation proceedings against the vehicle also initiated under Indian Forest Act 1927.
