JAMMU, Aug 19: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested a vehicle lifter along with five stolen two wheelers.
As per police sources, on August 17 this year, a complaint was lodged at regarding theft of a motorcycle and accordingly a case FIR Number 202/2022 under section 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
To work out the case, a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Vikram Sharma and assisted by PSI Sharaz Ahmed was constituted under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
After hectic efforts, the team finally arrested the thief, who was identified as Mohd Aslam, son of Rasheed Ahmed of Bantalab (Kalakopher) Tehsil Nagrota District Jammu.
On his disclosure, the stolen motorcycle was recovered.
During further questioning, police team also recovered four more motorcycle, which the accused had stolen from different parts of the Jammu.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
