JAMMU, Apr 28: Bishnah police arrested a vehicle lifter and recovered stolen motorcycle from his possession.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Sanjeev Kumar, son of Mulkh Raj, a resident of Main Town Bishnah with Bishnah police station stating that some unidentified persons had stolen his motorcycle.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 95/17 was registered at Bishnah police station and hunt was launched to nab the thieves.
During investigation, police picked up one suspect, who confessed to commit the theft.
The accused has been identified as Pankaj, son of Krishan Lal, a resident of Akal.
Further questioning of the accused is going on to ascertain his involvement in other theft cases.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah Inspector PP Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
