JAMMU, July 1: In an operation, Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department officials today seized a vehicle loaded with illicit Khair Wood at Green Belt Park.
A team of forest field staff of Kalidhar headed by Vijay Khosla Range Officer, Kalidhar under the direct supervision of Suresh Manda DFO Jammu seized a Tata Safari bearing registration No. JK02AH-9900 loaded with illicit Khair wood after long chase.
The vigil forest field staff chased the vehicle from Jewel Chowk and after its long chase the vehicle was intercepted at Green Belt Park Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
The vehicle along with 10 Qtls approx of illicit Khair Wood was seized. A Forest Offence Report (FOR) has also been registered and confiscation proceeding against the vehicle is also initiated in the court of authorized officer (DFO Jammu).
