RAJOURI, Oct 8: The police seized a Tata Mobile vehicle along with eight bovine animals and arrested two smugglers in this connection from Thannamandi area last night.
A police party led by SHO, Thannamandi under the supervision of SDPO Iftikhar Talib laid nakka at Chhurung bridge during last mid night and intercepted a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK11B/4668. They found eight bovine animals loaded in the vehicle. They were on way to Kashmir via Mughal Road.
The police seized vehicle along with cattle and arrested two smugglers. They were identified as Sheraz Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid of Behrote and Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Sezar Mohd, resident of Saaj village in Rajouri. A case under FIR No. 188. 2016 was registered in this connection.
