Veeri seeks facilities for KPs on Shivratri

JAMMU, Feb 23: Former Minister and senior PDP leader Abdul Rehman Veeri has called upon the Government to make best possible arrangements for Shivratri celebrations by the Kashmiri Pandits in Jammu as well as Kashmir divisions.
In a statement issued here, Veeri said the Government should ensure that the facilities needed by the Kashmiri Pandits should be adequately available in the localities inhabited by the Pandits in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the senior officers should visit localities of the Kashmiri Pandits and get in touch with them.
The former Minister said the Government should sanction special leave for Kashmiri Pandit employees for Shivratri celebrations.
Veeri expressed confidence that the Government would take notice of the suggestions.
