RAJOURI, Aug 31: A VDC member was seriously injured after his gun went off at village Argi in district Rajouri last night.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place at around 9.45 pm when 62 -year- old Balak Ram, son of Lochan Dass, resident of Argi village near Dangri in Rajouri was cleaning his gun. After the exercise was over, the loaded gun fell down and a bullet went off accidently and it hit VDC member at lower portion of his shoulder. He was rushed to Rajouri hospital where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital, Jammu. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
