JAMMU, Jan 23: SKUAST-J Agri-Business Incubation (ABI) Foundation, a not-for-profit Section 8 Company registered under the Companies Act, 2013, held its first Board of Directors (BoD) meeting in the University premises today.
The meeting marked a significant institutional milestone in strengthening the agri-startup and innovation ecosystem in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir through a unified, market-oriented incubation framework.
The meeting was chaired by Prof. B. N. Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and Chairman of SKUAST-J ABI Foundation, who has been instrumental in promoting innovation-led entrepreneurship and value-chain development in agriculture across the region. In his remarks, Vice Chancellor and Chairman, SKUAST-J ABI Foundation Prof. B.N. Tripathi directed that all efforts should be made towards making SKUAST-J ABI Foundation a sustainable growth engine that can propel the agri-entrepreneurs of the region to great heights.
Prof. Jyoti Kachroo, Director & Member Secretary, SKUAST-J Agri-Business Incubation Foundation, formally welcomed the Chairman and Board members, presenting the progress report and outlining the future direction of the Foundation.
The Board comprises eminent academicians Prof. S. K. Gupta, Director; Prof. Amrish Vaid, Director; Prof. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Director and Prof. R. K. Salgotra, Director, who actively contributed to discussions on institutional governance, operational modalities and convergence with Government schemes.
